I like 500 ( or higher) count sateen . Lastnight I slept on my son's bed ( he has a bed in a bag with matching sheets, that he picked out) boy did I feel the diffrerence! The sheets were 200-50% polly- 50% cotton. So today I went out and bought him a set of white 500 count sateens. I feel so bad that I allowed my son to sleep on sh%ty sheets all this time!

Dabell, are you calling my sheets shiitty? Just because I don't want to fork out a few hundred hard-earned dollars on sets of sheets, does not mean that they are shiitty. I take your comments as an insult. Perhaps if you want to brag on the 500 cts, do so, but don't put down my sheets while doing so. There have been times in my life when I didn't have sheets at all, so I feel special just to have mattresses, not to mention sheets. ;-)

Lots of hype these days about thread count. You have to read real close as to what you are really getting. Real 100% cotton sheets at 200 thread count are much softer than 500 or even 900 thread count Poly/Cotton blend. We have had and enjoyed 200 & 300 R.Lauren 100% Cotton sheets for years.
