Sorry, I should have included a smilie to indicate the smartass comment.

Although I was half serious. I will break the 3/4 way stop rotational rules if a soccer mom with a Yukon full of hoodlums is looking desperate. Better to let her go on than have her kissing my tail pipe for the next 8 miles. ;-)
There ya go. Now your talking logic. I am as equally miffed about the 4 way stops here. Whatever happened to the person on your right has the right of way? I give up anyway.

P.S. Thanks for the eye candy on your avitars:love:

One down side of increased growth...The longer people go assuming speed limits are not for them, the harder it is to regain control....I often think people caught exceeding speed limits should have some type of control mounted on the engines of their cars that will not allow the engines to drive cars faster than the speed limits....Maybe ya'll could look at the doubling of fines for speeding in some areas? I don't think folks respect how decieving it can be driving on roads near the beach. The dips and rises are deceptive, you think you have room to pass but you don't. The folks passing over the double yellow are suffering from the "denial of death" syndrome. They don't see how anything could ever happen to them....Good luck, you guys...

Not that I am an advocate of speeding or braking the law on the road,but... that's how some accidents occur. You know that if people are passing, breaking the law or not, your suppose to continue driving the same.

So you do a lot of passing on the double yellow, on 30A, eh?:rotfl:

The person who got to the intersection first has the right of way, or more specifically, the person who gets there second has to yield the right of way (as the laws are couched in terms of who yields, and not who has the right of way).

Only when there's an apparent "tie" in who gets there first, does the person to the right get to go first.

At all the local 3/4 way stops, my rule of thumb is "survival" over "my turn". Half the problem is people not using turn signals, the other part is people who have no clue how to use a 3/4 way stop................or are so focused on talking on their cell, smoking, their dog sitting on their lap, whatever to care.

It can be confusing whose turn it is, but it is always pretty obvious that if the car directly in front of you just went, it's not your turn next!

I try to be good about driving, but have been known to slow down (even if I am running late) just to be pissy when people are tailgating me for no reason.

During the season I constantly see people so focused on passing the car in front of them that they narrowly avoid a head-on collision.

SJ, you're video was insanely amusing. Thanks! It demonstrates the need of drivers to get that extra minute in... to pass a car, only to get stuck and never get anywhere faster.

I take 30-A home instead of 98 so that I can slow down, enjoy the views and not feel so dang rushed all the time. We moved out of metro Atlanta to get away from the traffic and nightmarish drivers.

At least Mr. Clean and I had people actually stop today 3 times for us to cross 30-A on bikes. That was refreshing.
