No anonymity here. Well, I guess maybe a little since some people think my name is Kathy dwells, or some thought so in the past until I set them straight. ;-) Most of the time now I just go by Darlene or KDW. All of which are fine by me.

You will always have my vote Bobby.

I have noticed that people will tell you how they really feel when they use an alias. Which is good. You can really learn a lot about an issue when people are willing to really tell you the way they feel. I use my name and would imagine it has cost me a few votes in my business life. Oh well. ;-)

I registered as a visitor/refugee, and at the time I saw only nicknames. I only registered to ask for recommendations for restaurants where I could eat alone without being made to feel weird. I never expected to post anything of substance, but once I had some credibility I didn't want to give that up.

I think most people who are remotely curious can figure out who I am. If asked, I always give my real name. But, there are a lot of people whose employers or civic groups might try to lay claim to their very identities, and have a problem with any opinion they might offer online. I disagree with the notion that every waking activity should be held to the standard of an employee representing a company. For that reason, I think some anonymity is a positive.

I think we can all use a little more mystery and whimsy in our lives...

I didn't realize some people posted under multiple names. What would be the purpose? An alias is much different than an alter-ego. The latter suggest a possible psychological disorder.

In reality, there aren't nearly 15,000 members of SoWal

There are actually 23.......sorry Kurt..:D

Mr/Mrs? Arkie Hawg
