Don't wear it much anymore, but some faves are...

Joy...makes me smile when I smell it.

Shalimar...I got the lighter version of this a year or so ago, nice!

Paul & Joe...picked this up in Paris last summer. No, it doesn't smell like boys....very light. ;-)

L'air du temps, Nina Ricci...like this for summer.

And, yes...spray the air and walk through!

Halston Z-14 here! Classic. Love it. In moderation. My roommate wears a bottle a day of whatever he is wearing, gaaaaaaag me. French ho.

I very rarely wear, if I do, only a smidgen. But some mens colognes if applied properly will make me stop in my tracks when the bearer walks by.... mmm-mmm-mmm

And now for the other side of the coin....back one time when I was engaged, yes, to a woman, she wore Sand and Sable. Nothing elaborate, standard drug store variety now, but back then 20 years ago....

Sit down for this, major personal sappy comment coming...

She lived with me for months while I was stationed at Eglin. She got orders to Germany. I missed her so much I bought a bottle of Sand and Sable and would spray it on my pillow and sheets. Still like it.

As for myself, I may have a bottle last me a year. Or two. My roomie though, goes through it like I go through Southern Comfort. Shameful.

dka:drink:
Awww. I forgot about Z-14! MMMMMmmm takes me back to high school. I can't get Mr. Romeo to wear it. He wears eau de Gulf of Mexico!

...spray and sashay!!!

Here's how the pros do it:

Whether it be a solid, spray, or lotion, apply your perfume before you put on any clothing or jewelry. Some fragrances will leave permanent stains on fabrics, metals, and pearls.

Apply perfume lightly to the body's pulse points: Wrists, base of the throat, behind the ear lobes, the bend in your elbows, and between the breasts.

Do not dab your wrists together after applying perfume--this breaks down the scent.

We all know that body heat rises, so apply perfume to the back of your knees to leave a lasting impression.

Only apply fragrance to your hair if it is freshly washed. If not, the natural oil in your hair will change the scent of the perfume. To do so, spray your hair once or twice from a distance of at least 8 inches. Another option is to spray some of the perfume in your hands and then disperse it through your hair. Do not spray your hairbrush or comb; this will leave the scent attached to it and affect any other scents your spray into your hair.

If you have fair or dry skin, your perfume is going to wear off faster than those with oily or darker skin. This simply means that you might need to give yourself one or two sprays of your favorite scent during your lunch break.

Vary the fragrance that you use from time to time. It has been medically proven that scents have a strong effect on our emotions and mindset. Don't feel inhibited about trying new and different perfumes every 3-4 months, or along with the changes of the seasons.

To keep your scent as true as the first day you bought it, place it in an airtight plastic container and store it in the fridge between uses. By doing so, you slow the process of oxidation, which breaks down the scent. This is especially useful during those hot, bright and humid months.

This is all good but I don't know if I could keep my perfume in the FRIDGE!!! :yikes:

I really like DKNY Be Delicious, and also Heavenly in the Angels collection at Victoria's Secret. VS also has a scent called "Sexy" (Be Sexy or Sexy Now, something like that) that I wear a lot.

I too like natural scents. Crabtree and Evelyn has a Naturals collection and I am addicted to their Nutmeg and Cardoman Cocoa Butter. I also have their Illipe butter Lemongrass and Sugar Scent.
Mangy, the smell of the body butter is to die for! I love it, but I didn't there was a corresponding scent. I've looked for it in the store, and I didn't find it online. :dunno: Also, I recently discovered Avon's mark line has a similarly-named product that is pretty much a dead ringer for the C&E.
