It is with great, great saddness and a heavy heart that I revive this thread. I just got a call from my stepmom a few minutes ago. I cannot believe what she just told me. My daddy and she just last Friday, got their brand new off the line last Thursday, beautiful double-wide delivered to the same property where my brothers house burned in April. The fire marshall in that fire determined the cause of the fire to be spontaneous combustion of some stripping materials left in the house. We all were very suspicous of those findings. Well, this morning the electrician went out to hook up their electricity and found their trailer on fire. It is a total loss. Next Saturday was going to be their move-in day. Needless to say, they ARE NOT moving there now. They know it was arson because their was no electricity hooked up, AND they are re-opening the case of my brother's house that burned in April. There have been some other arsons in that area as well. The sad thing is that all of my daddy's and stepmoms stuff at their house in Florida is all packed up and their house is on the market. Well, as of right now the house is coming off the market until they decide what they are going to do. I am so sad, I was so looking forward to them getting here. I know they still will, but it will be a while now. Why do people have to be so freaking mean? I know that there is a silver lining to this once again...there was no one hurt. My brother of course does not want to re-build there either. I just talked to him a few minutes ago and another sad thing is that this was my sister-in-laws, mother's home place. It is where she grew up and the land has been in her family for a very long time. They promised her that they would never sell the property. She passed away in July. Well, I told my brother sometimes promises have to be broken. I told him that she would not want her daughter or you to be in any danger. He said he just needed some time for everything to sink in, and that then they would make a decision about what to do. Please keep all of them in your prayers. Thank you for letting me get it out. I know this is long, but sometimes it is therapeutic just to write it down. You know what I mean?
KDW is this up around where you live?
At least they hadn't moved in yet and are safe.
