How unfortunate. Hope they catch them this time and justice is served. Glad no one was hurt physically although this must be a huge disappointment for y'all. :sosad:

Hopefully the authorities will find the party responsibile for this and handle it in the right way. Again prayers and thoughts go out to you and your family.

Thank you very much.

That's terrible and you can only hope that they find them so that they can be prosecuted and put under the jail. Sorry to your family..

And to you, thank you very much.

:eek:I am really thinking about you! What a pisser!

Yes, what a pisser. Thank you for thinking of me.

Darlene--how awful!!! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Thank you DD.

I am sooo sorry Kathy. I feel the sorrow in your post. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

Yesterday I was full of sorrow. Today I am better. Thank you OL!

I am so sorry to read this KDW. :sosad: At least they hadn't moved in yet and are safe.

What a bizarre story ... I sure hope they find who did this, and as BeachSi02 posted, put he/she/them under the jail. :pissed:

Yes, it could have been much, much worse. Thank you for your concern!

i feel guilty kdw - you do realize the first fire was the day before we left for florida, and now this one is one day before we leave for florida - am i a jinx ?

audie, I didn't realize it until you posted this, but yes I do remember that the last one was the day you left for Florida. No, you are not a jinx my friend, just a strange coincedence. Have a safe trip to paradise!

So sorry to hear of your family's troubles, but relieved that everyone is OK. You are your family's rock and voice of reason in this time of turmoil--you know it will work out in time. Take care....justice will be served.

Shel.

I am a rock because of my daddy. He is just a pillar of strength. He is taking all of this much better than even I think I would. I talked to him last night, and like he alway's say's "I am not going to worry about it. There is not a thing I can do about it. We will just re-group and get there when we can. And yes Shel, I know it will work out. I am a firm believer in something good alway's comes out of something bad. I do hope that justice will be served. It will take a while but I think in the end they will catch whomever did this.

Your family's had a lifetime of bad luck all at once. I hope no one lost all the old photos and letters. It's a creepy feeling not to feel safe on your own land, in your own community. I wish the police luck finding those who are responsible.

Thankfully Bob, there was nothing in the trailer yet. They had not moved anything up here. That was to be this weekend. So we are very thankful that nothing "personal" was lost. Thank you for your concern.

Kathy, I am so so sorry, I know how you are feeling.

We had my husband's truck stolen out of our driveway this week and I am just physcially sick over it.

You and your family are in my prayers.

Hugs to you.

OH, Minnie I am so sorry about your husbands truck. I know how violated you feel. It is an awful feeling. I hope that the truck will be found!!! Thank you for your prayers.

:sosad:...this is shocking and horrible news. I can only think at least no one was hurt. Hugs Darlene.

Thank you my dear. If my brother finds out before the police who did this, then I think someone will be hurt.

Sorry KDW. Hopefully they will catch the creeps that did this. I know you, your dad and stepmom are extremely dissappointed right now, but they will get back to Alabama so that you will be able to enjoy their company again. Thinking of you and yours.

Thank you dbuck. Before they moved to Florida, they lived in a beautiful little town in Tennessee called Delrose. I think perhaps that they will look up there again. They were very happy there. It is only about a 45 minute drive from me, so that will be fine with me. It may take awhile, but they will get there.:love:

How unbelievably horrible! I am so sad to read this Kathy....:sosad:
You have all of us thinking of you & your family...and yes, it is thankful that no one was hurt!

Thank you sweetie!!!!

Oh Kathy I'm so sorry. I bet they catch who ever it is and it could well be kids but I hope not. But arson is very serious business.

I hope it is not kids. There is a property owner that has land right next to the "farm". He has begged my brother and sister in law to sell the "farm" to them. They told him no several times. Could be him....who knows. Unfortunately, I found out yesterday that there are several known meth labs in that area as well. Could be them not wanting anyone around. All speculation at this time of course. But you do wonder who would do something like this. Thank you for your conern!!!!

Very sorry to hear this, KDW. Glad your family is safe and hope they catch the people who did this.

Thank you Paula....me too!

How unfortunate. Hope they catch them this time and justice is served. Glad no one was hurt physically although this must be a huge disappointment for y'all. :sosad:

Mangy, it is a huge disappointment. My father is a very strong man, and because he is doing so well it helps me. This too shall pass and something better will come of it. I just know it.

So, with all of that said we carry on. Life is too short to let these little set backs get you down for too long. Plus, if I dwell on it and stay sad and dissappointed then the people who did this get their way. So, I am moving forward. I will enjoy my weekend. We have big game tomorrow, I think for now I will worry about that.

Love to each of you.

oh I forgot about meth labs. The country is where they seem to be. I lost a pole barn about 3 year ago that is way back where I can't see it. A kid I knew from deer camp in the 80's (Now grown) came to see me out of the blue wanted to do some odd jobs for $. I agreed, a few days later my barn was burning I lost a tractor and he was gone. The fire dept. told me the news about the meth lab. HAven't heard from him again.

First let me say how sorry I am that you guys have been going through all of this. How horrible. But the 'meth lab' comment may be your silver lining.
We often make promises to loved ones, such as not selling property, or not putting a surviving spouse in a nursing home or whatever.
We've dealt with that issue by saying we kept the promise while someone was alive, but after that, we gotta do what we gotta do based on what is going on now, in this environment, in the land of the living.

I gotta tell ya I opened this thread cuz of the word "rain" in the title. It hasn't stopped raining here in Oregon since my plane landed and I thought there might be something to take my mind off of it. And that you did!

Its fine to stand up for what you believe in, and fight for what's yours, but sometimes its better to walk away. Promise or not, if arson and meth labs are the issue, then let the property be sold and walk away. Next time someone could get hurt, or worse. Now they have a no strings attached clean slate and they can go anywhere they want.

That is the silver lining. And good insurance. Lots of love and positive thoughts sent out to y'all! Hugs abound.

Oh my gosh Kathy I read the title and thought this thread would be about the weather. Just remember things happen for a reason. I know it stinks. I'm so glad though that at least everyone is safe. We are thinking about you and your family.
