Oh, God. I feel your pain. Like in our case, nothing an architecture major takes counts towards towards pre-med, so that's a year wasted and we'll be paying for yet one more year of tuition. And then there's med school or grad school (if she changes her mind again) which we'll be paying for. In my case, my daughter is totally clueless about money and doesn't "get" why we got so upset about a change of major.Sueshore said:

Good morning all you darlins in the Lounge! I was not around last night because I was otherwise occupied! Merman came home from a week-long business trip and kicked me off the computer! Bad Merman. Bad Merman. I need to buy that man a laptop so he won't come home from trips with acute computer withdrawal syndrome. ;-) I was forced to pack last night for our visit to the beach for lack of a keyboard to commune with.
It's going to be a quiet week without me so I'm counting on all you Queens to pick up the slack.

I saw this coming and in his defense (or any other kid going off to college) I look at college as a time of self discovery. Problem is they make you take a bunch of core/prerequisites, much of which was a repeat for him and it doesn't allow one to take classes for discovery! This really bothers me! He did not have a bynch of AP credit...I guess that would free you up a bit! He's only a 1st semester soph, so other than Journalism (first major choice) he is not really behind.
