Where is Everybody?

We only went US 19 because of the manatees. Other than that, the stretch of road between Chiefland and Tallahassee gives me the heebie-jeebies so we go I-75 instead. Between what I've heard of Perry and all the totally abandoned motels and motor courts, it's like the kind of area where people would just vanish into the swamps or something.

We are either extra brave or stupid and take the Bloxham cutoff road that takes us around Tally. We always stop in the Subway at Perry. Other than that we try not to stop.

It cuts off a decent amount of time and a lot of mileage! Plus it's very old Florida.
