I don't know what if the above mentioned Conservative talk show hosts are required to belong to a union or not but have you ever heard of a "closed shop". I couldn't work in a steel mill in my youth unless I was a union member. It is one of the things the Governor of Wisconsin is seeking. You don't have to join the union to obtain a job. Its called "right to work" and is, IMO, justified. But I am sure you know all this already. It certainly is no secret.

Just another round of liberal gotcha. Fix it where you cannot work in the industry without being a union member and then slam those who have taken the steps necessary to work.

Getting a job in Hollywood essentially requires a membership to SAG, but membership isn't mandatory. Another example of the 'gotcha.'

If true why the secrecy with Hannity, Limbaugh and O'Reilly. :dunno:Just come out and say I am a member, it won't stop you from opposing membership.

I am fairly confident I have heard O'Reilly speak about being a member of a union and I think I have heard Beck say the same things. Can't remember about Hannity and I do not listen to Limbaugh. Still, what is the problem? You have to belong to work.

I'm almost certain that some years ago Limbaugh was joking about it on air and made mention that the union 'tough guy' was in the studio observing things.

Pay to play cuts both ways. Democrats will bash big pharma and oil companies all day long but have no problems accepting campaign cash from them.

Right here!
I used to be a member of the union that oversees UPS workers. That was one of the weirdest jobs I've every had. We had these mandatory, set time breaks during the work day and all sorts of strange rules and regs regarding interaction with management. Overall the job had this weird vibe to it, it felt like you were part of a machine vs. being a human being. I'd bet the unions negotiate this stuff on purpose to help alienate workers from management.

It's not a secret. Hannity was talking about being a member just last week.

Here's the gotcha...

There's a huge difference between having to belong to a union and wanting to belong to a union. My father in law is a retired Delta pilot. He had to belong to the pilot's union. Had no choice. He thought it sucked and didn't support them at all because most of the rank and file thought that the leadership had ulterior motives as many do. Despite that he was a card carrying dues paying member because he had no choice.

I know Hannity falls into that category because he flat said so. I'm sure the others feel the same way...
