Sorry for your loss Minnie, how very sad.

Minnie... very touching sweet / bittersweet story. Thanks for sharing.

As for MY story... I reserve the telling for a wench-night on my patio under cover of darkness and a few bottles of wine ;-)

Time, date?????

Wow, this thread brings back memories.

I vote for fudge and red wine instead of popcorn ;-)

How 'bout this weekend?! This sounds like a good one!

This oughta be good.....details please.

His name was James, we were in 8th grade (also first kiss) gorgeous blue green eyes, sandy brown/blonde hair, we went together off and on until his family moved to Houston my 10th grade year(no that is not why I went to Rice) we also went to church together. While I was in Texas we used to all get together, but alas, he had a girlfriend. He later tried to get me to go out with him, but I was in love with a UT football player. AAAAAAAhhhh, youth.

Hmmmm, I would say a girl named Donna. We stated dating my Jr. year in highschool and continued till we graduated. We had lots of great times together. She was a very beautiful girl with sandy blond hair, sexy smile, and very fun to be with. To this day I still think of her. Its funny, I was dumped because I did not have a plan for my life after highschool. Now I am an engineer. Who would have thought. I saw her once at our 15 year reunion. We had fun and talked about so much. We even apoligized to each other for being young and stupid.

His name was Mike and we were in a Theatre program together. We went to different schools and it just never worked out. Not sure what happened to him.

You too? My brother loved her. He also had that Farah Fawcett poster in the red bathing suit on the inside of his closet, you know the one, my Mom made him put another poster up to her shoulders.

Yep...Brother NoHall had that one, too, on the back of his bedroom door. Mom and I thought it was as scandalous as his KISS albums!

We met my sophmore year at Young Life. His name was Tom, a 6'4" football player from another high school. We dated for 2 years and spent a lot of time together. I broke up with him but it was still hard b/c I loved him like a brother. I'm not sure he ever got over it. When I was 8 months pregnant I got roses delivered to my work place from a secret admirer. :yikes:Of course all the girls at work thought this was scandalous! LOL We called the florist to try to find out who it was. The only thing we found out were his initials which matched my first love's. Never heard anything from him after that. About 7 years ago I heard he died of a massive heart attack at the age of 36. It made me really sad that I never heard about it and couldn't pay my last respects. It also made me sad that he never got married. I know it's something he always wanted.

The other stange thing is I married a Tom who is also 6'4".

Oh and I never liked the name Tom. My very first crush in first grade was a boy named Tom. He got sick and threw up in the lunchroom and then I didn't want him to be my boyfriend anymore.
