Winter storm

We got to leave early too, roads are bad but I have a short commute - about 7 miles. Took me about 10 minutes longer than usual. I am home, too. Be extra careful if you have to travel in this mess. I have to run out in a few hours to pick up my kids, but they're only a block away. In the meantime, I need to figure out how to use a snow blower. Forgot to get a lesson before Bob moved out!

I love the idea of jsut "throwing everything together." Your pot pie sounds good on a day like this, too!

I have no chili powder but mom seems to think a little taco seasoning will do?...

On a day like today, I think it will do the trick. I sure as heck wouldn't run out to buy chili powder in this weather.

All right, don't anyone try to stop me - I've got my Destin hoodie on and I'm going to brave the elements and figure out how to use that darn snow blower. If I don't post back in an hour, send out a search party!

Sometime before the next snowstorm, I need to figure out where the choke is on my snowblower. In order to start it, it said to turn the choke on, but I sure as heck couldn't find it. Thank goodness I am a veteran snow shoveler. I managed to take care of it manually (heck, it's good exercise anyway!)

I'd actually thought about that. A touch of taco seasoning did the trick, as well as a couple of spoonfuls of sugar and some ketchup ;-)

Was a hit with Mr. Lucky and I have to say, it wasn't half bad!

Your nephews and niece have a snow day today. Kind of a bummer, though, because everyone was excited about Valentine's Day festivities at school. One L'il Pea is thrilled, though, because he didn't want to have to finish his homework last night. :roll:
