Road Advisory Update – Number 11
Chipley – The following road are closed in NW Florida.
Interstates
· Interstate 10 (I-10) - Closed to all traffic in Northwest Florida from the Florida/Alabama state line near Mile Marker 7 east to Mile Marker 233 in Jefferson County.
· I-110 closed to all traffic.
Bay County
· U.S. 98 Hathaway Bridge – One lane open in each direction across the bridge, expect closures as temperatures decrease. Use extreme caution.
· State Road 79/ West Bay Bridge, closed to traffic.
· U.S. 98 Phillips Inlet Bridge, restricted traffic
· Thomas Drive Flyover, closed to traffic.
Escambia County
· State Road 292 (Barrancas Avenue) Bayou Chico Bridge, closed to all traffic.
· County Road 97A, Boggy Creek Bridge, closed to all traffic.
· State Road 292, Theo Baars Bridge, closed to all traffic.
· U.S. 98, Pensacola Bay Bridge closed to all traffic.
· State Road 10 (U.S. 90) Nine Mile at Alabama State Line, closed to all traffic.
· U.S. 98 / Lillian Bridge over Perdido Bay, closed to all traffic.
· U.S. 29 / SR95 near Cox Road closed for two miles
Franklin County
· U.S. 98 John Gorrie Bridge, closed to traffic.
· State Road 300 Bryant Patton Bridge, closed to traffic.
Leon County
· State Road 10 @ Walden Road, closed to all traffic.
Liberty County
· State Road 20 Apalachicola River Bridge between Blountstown and Bristol, closed to traffic.
Okaloosa County
· State Road 189 (Lewis Turner Boulevard) from Ranger Camp to General Bond is closed.
· U.S. 98 Brooks Bridge, one lane of traffic open in each direction.
· State Road 293 at Mid Bay Bridge, closed to traffic.
· U.S. 98 Marler (East Pass) Bridge restricted access, use caution.
Walton County
· State Road 285 from I-10 to Bob Sikes Road, closed to traffic.
All bridges are subject to closure due decreasing temperatures. Tolls are suspended until further notice, on the Garcon Point Bridge in Santa Rosa County. Regional road advisories are posted on Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) on Interstate 10 in Pensacola and Tallahassee. Overhead Message Boards are posting roadway information in Bay County. Weather conditions continue to deteriorate creating hazardous road conditions. FDOT encourages residents to stay indoors and avoid venturing out unless it is an emergency.
