WTH is wrong with Mel Gibson?

I have not listened to the tapes, but I have seen some of the transcripts. :shock: Substance abuse or what? I don't know.

Not to worry. I heard some of the audio, and so much was edited out for bad words, that I had no idea what he was saying. You know much more by reading the transcripts.

Now for the reason(s) why, I have no idea and don't really care. There are many more important people to worry about.

It's not so much about the person, Murray. It's about the dynamic to me. He built himself up from pretty much nothing. Made the jump to director in a big way. He kinda had it all and he just lost it.

I think I feel pretty duped too. He was a great actor, because I liked what I saw of him off screen, too. So I feel kinda sad and stupid at the same time. It's almost like he did the passion and the Aztec movies and then just whacked out :shock:

And besides, we're in the lounge. It's not supposed to be important

I have no idea either. Anger issues, alcohol, drugs, maybe he hates his mother. I do know he ain't right.

I'm not saying he isn't a little whacko, but there are indications that the tapes may have been "doctored". Also, his girlfriend has to be a little bit whacko (sorry, I'm using technical/medical terms) too. Apparently she taped a conversation that should have been personal and private, most likely provoked him a little bit, both of them most likely drunk, and then "somehow" the tapes ended up with the police. Sounds a bit like a set up to me. Again, I'm not saying he isn't a little whacko. Just saying...

Just being honest-
I heard it unedited on Howard Stern and listening to it and Howard and crew's commentary was one of the funniest things I have heard in a long time. Mel has serious issues...
