jdarg's list of yucks

I pull this out whenever am planning a dinner and thinking about asking the dargs over for dinner:

Avocados
Mushrooms
Bleu Cheese
Sushi
Intestines, Kidneys, Livers, Hearts, Brains, Testicles, Eyeballs, etc.
Critters
Limburger Cheese
Olive Loaf
Hot Dogs
Bologna
Head Cheese
Oysters
Olives
Cocktail onions
Herb or savory ice cream, like rosemary flavored (wtf is up with that?)
Chili or meatloaf of unknown origins
Brussel sprouts
Gazpacho (but I could eat salsa with a spoon)
Grape jelly
Oh man- cottage cheese is big time BARF-A-Rama! It's what babies spit up.
Coconut
cantaloupe makes Bdarg's mouth itch
Add to my list anything from a certain restaurant in the 30A area
Eggs, unless they are in quiche
Wheat grass juice
Bit-O-Honey
Root Beer Dum Dums
Fried crickets
Who likes Vegemite or Marmite?
Oreos
Cincinatti chili
Vodka with olives
Or any meat packaged in some sort of juice, like hot dogs. Packed in hot dog juice. The jelly around SPAM. The liquid in the vienna sausage can. I'm going to throw up now just typing it.

So I know not to make homemade guacamole, my marinated artichokes and mushroom appetizer, or chili when jdarg comes over.

This list does make me laugh a little-

oreos?
Then I ask myself- what are you going to make for dinner that involves grape jelly, cocktail onions and rootbeer dum dums?

My mom used to eat pigs feet- I never quite worked up the nerve. And she would make pickled eggs (with beet juice for color) at Easter.

Anyone had scrapple?

Recently a dear friend/mentor died and his strange food choices came up frequently in the days following:

Green pea sandwiches
Sausage biscuits with jelly...and mayonnaise...
Pizza with double hamburger and no cheese. (This is actually on my "yum" list!)

Yep, I know that dish, Mom did it also we thought it was great. She also lined a pan with mashed potatos, (left over) and topped with fried hamburger and mushroom soup. Mouth still waters when I think of that. That food was/is all wrong and inappropriate but Mom is 82 and still walking three mills a day. We are sixty one and struggling!

I have not ever heard of anyone else who has had the spam concotion. It was great when we were kids but real funny to think about now.
