The City of Fort Walton Beach will celebrate Independence Day at the Landing on Thursday, July 4, 2019, from 4-10 p.m. The event is free to the public and includes kid activities, live music and a firework show.
Festivities kick off at 4 p.m. and an opening ceremony featuring a welcome from Mayor Dick Rynearson, presentation from the Fort Walton Beach Police Department Honor Guard, Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem will take place at 5 p.m. The Pensacola band Horseshoe Kitty will begin at 4 p.m. followed by Miles Flatt from Mississippi at 6:30 p.m. A Kid Zone area featuring bounce houses, inflatable slides and games will also be available, all for free.
A firework display with a musical background will take place over Santa Rosa Sound at 8:45 p.m.! Concessions will be available for purchase throughout the evening.
Located on downtown FWB, Fort Walton Beach Landing Park is an easygoing, waterfront park with a playground, small rock climbing wall and a concert stage. Downtown FWB is home to a number of unique owner operated boutique stores, restaurants and bars. Minutes away from the beaches of Okaloosa Island by car, foot or bicycle.
