Seaside Celebrates 4th of July with Parade, Pops & Fireworks!

June 27, 2013 by Teresa Lischka

The 4th of July in Seaside, Florida is an all-American celebration of music, food, white beaches, flags, fireworks, and a parade through the middle of town. It just doesn't get any better. The celebration kicks off with the annual South Walton 4th of July Parade that begins in Seagrove and culminates in Seaside. Line up early along Scenic Highway 30A and be prepared for laughs and lots of loot! Locals, visitors, and generations of Seaside families help make the parade an event that is cherished.

The parade starts at 8 a.m. at Seagrove Plaza and continues 1.5 miles to the town of Seaside. Participants will be decked out in patriotic costumes on foot or riding festive bikes, scooters, golf carts and floats. Furry friends dressed in their finest holiday costumes will be along for the fun as well.

After the parade, stick around for the awards presentation, face painting and other fun with 30A Radio. It's the perfect way to kick off your Independence Day!

Registration for parade participants is required. Please call (850) 231-6107 for more information or download the registration for full details.

Seaside welcomes the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra to the Amphitheater stage for a July 4th pops concert under the stars at 7 p.m. Enjoy some of your favorite patriotic songs, along with familiar melodies from some of the biggest films in history. The lawn fills up quickly, so bring your blankets out early to secure your spot!

End the holiday with a spectacular fireworks finale over the Gulf of Mexico at 9 p.m.! Get the best seats from either the Seaside Amphitheater or anywhere along the beach in town!
