Capes & Crowns Fun Run and 5K at Baytowne Jan 31

Calling All Superheros and Princesses! Get ready to dress-up as your favorite superhero or glittering princess. The Capes & Crowns Fun Run + 5K will be magical for the entire family on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at The Village of Baytowne Wharf. The afternoon will be filled with adventure throughout the Village.  The event benefits The Tree House Episcopal Montessori School in Santa Rosa Beach.

Register for this family friendly event at CapesAndCrowns.com. Open to all ages, race registration is $20 for the Fun Run and $35 for the 5K.  

Packet pick-up occurs from 10am-2pm on race day, Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, with the 5K beginning at 3pm and the Fun Run at 4:30 p.m. All partipants are encouraged to run in their princess and superhero-themed attire.

“We live in a community that celebrates family together-time and this race will be all about costumes, health and fitness with a good dose of fun,” said Maureen Paine, Founding Director of The Tree House Episcopal Montessori School. 

Sponsored by The Village of Baytowne Wharf, Abrakadoodle Art Education, Outright Communications and Amanda Sause Photography, Capes & Crowns Fun Run + 5K event festivities will include face painting, a festive party and an outdoor family movie showing. The 5K portion of the race is a timed course and cash prizes will be awareded to the top finishers. 

“The Village of Baytowne Wharf loves to host events for charitable causes and especially one with such a lighthearted theme for all ages of superheros and princesses,” said Julie Stuckey, the Events Manager for The Village of Baytowne Wharf. “Just make sure to mark your name in your glass slipper as I’m sure we’ll have quite a few princesses running pretty fast!”
