Love All Tennis to Benefit Food For Thought Feb 19

January 22, 2016 by SoWal Staff

The 2016 Love All Tennis tournament is taking place at Tops’l Beach and Racquet Resort on Saturday, Feb. 19 from 8:30 a.m. til 1:00 p.m. Expanding from a small round robin tournament to a growing signature event, Love All this year will feature tennis clinics for kids and adults of all levels and ages, an exciting pro exhibition match and an after party with food, cocktails, raffle and silent auction.

Love All Tennis started as a grassroots fundraiser five years ago by a few local moms with a passion for supporting Food for Thought Outreach, then a charity in its infancy. Five years later, it has grown into something very special.

Male and female tennis players of all levels are invited to play in the event, regardless of skill level or experience. Tickets may be purchased in advance for $30 per person at fftfl.org. Tickets will be $40 per person the day of the event. Attendees are encouraged to register early for the event to secure their spot and a free event t-shirt, courtesy of Print Source, as supplies are limited.

Vice President of Food for Thought Outreach, Hilary Farnum has been blown away by the increased support by the local business community. “Beachy Beach 30A made a commitment to be a corporate sponsor for Food for Thought Outreach three years ago, but we knew we couldn’t really make the impact we wanted without the help of other people in our industry. We are thankful for other local businesses like ResortQuest for coming to the plate this year and really helping us make an impact.”

ResortQuest by Wyndham Vacation Rentals is proud to host the 5th Annual Love All Tennis event. All proceeds will go directly to benefit Food for Thought Outreach, Inc. Local businesses like Beachy Beach 30A Real Estate, Chi-Mar Construction, Porath and Associates, P.A, and Miramar Beach Dental and Orthodontics, are working together to ensure the event will be better than ever.

The location change will help the event grow and take on more players. Tops'l Beach and Racquet Resort will also be providing a pre-tournament breakfast for players and Pop Stop will provide their signature mimosa pops as an extra treat. Tennis pro Christoffer Fasth (WaterColor and Seaside) and Director of Tennis at Tops'l Joe D'Aleo will be leading the clinics.

Food for Thought Outreach is a nonprofit organization based in Santa Rosa Beach that provides backpacks filled with healthy, easy to prepare food for students who are dependent on free or reduced school meals. Their goal is to support a child’s development and educational experience by bridging the gap between school meals during weekends and holiday breaks. For more information, please visit fftfl.org and Food for Thought Outreach on Facebook.

The organization has been working to fight child hunger since 2010 and currently serves 15 schools in Walton and Okaloosa counties, providing backpacks for 1200 students each week.
