Join the SoWal community for an evening of wonder and discovery in Grand Boulevard Town Center on Wednesday, April 30 from 6 - 9 p.m. for Dine + Dive, a fusion of fine art, food and wine event igniting all of the senses to benefit the nation’s first Underwater Museum of Art.
Immerse yourself in creativity at the 37th Annual ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival, coming to Grand Boulevard Town Center on Saturday, May 3rd (10 am - 7 pm) and Sunday, May 4th (10 am - 5 pm).
Spring is here and Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance (CBA) is hopping all around our watershed!
The CBA has a robust agenda of activities for the spring season, dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of our watershed. There are upcoming field trips with local children, extensive water monitoring, and new outreach programs and events for you to be a part of. Join the SoWal community for the inaugural Clay for a Cause: Bowls of Love, a unique visual arts education and fundraising event on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Pavilion at Watersound Town Center.
Guests will enjoy a variety of gourmet soups served in handcrafted ceramic bowls, lovingly created by local artisans, to support Caring & Sharing of South Walton and the CAA’s Pottery Studio.
Crescendo! 2025 is a series of special events in January, February and March to benefit Sinfonia Gulf Coast and its music education and community engagement programs throughout Okaloosa and Walton Counties. Programs that include musicians/guest artists in schools, free orchestra concerts, bus transportation for students, Sinfonia Youth Orchestra program, Arts in Medicine initiative with Sacred Heart Hospital, and Link Up concerts for third through fifth graders in partnership with Carnegie Hall and more.
Sea turtle nesting season begins in May on many Florida beaches, including the beaches of South Walton (SoWal) and northwest Florida. The season lasts through the end of October and is the critical time when people can help keep sea turtles and hatchlings safe.
We are blessed with a caring and giving community. We have many locals (and visitors) who are eager to lend a hand and donate time and money to local organizations who welcome participation.
