International Coastal Cleanup Sep 16

The Walton County Tourism Department, along with the Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles, will once again host an International Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 9 – 11 a.m.

Residents, students and visitors are encouraged to participate in the world’s largest volunteer effort with the common goal of cleaning up our coastal waters for our ocean’s health. Volunteer Beach Ambassador teams will be hosting teams at five South Walton regional beach accesses listed below:

Register Now For Seaside School 22nd Annual Race Weekend 2024

The Seaside School Half Marathon & 5K, presented by Seaside, is back, launching its 22nd year of racing.

Registration, presented by Visit South Walton, is now open for Race Weekend from February 16th through 18th, 2024, further establishing this event as a signature running event and paramount fundraiser in Northwest Florida. Every year, athletes from around the world converge in Seaside, Florida, assisting in funding The Seaside School, Inc., a pioneering and enduring public charter school in Walton County, Florida.

Volunteer For Earth Day Coastal Cleanup April 29

The Walton County Tourism Department is partnering with Surf Hut and Okaloosa County to complete a coastal cleanup on Earth Day Saturday, April 29 from 8 - 10 a.m.

Both residents and visitors are encouraged to participate. There will be cleanup contests with fun prizes, free event t-shirts and a free post cleanup breakfast served at some of our favorite local restaurants.

T-shirts and breakfast will be limited in quantity, so make sure to register online and show up on time!

PWMC Metamorphosis Fundraiser At Alys Beach Apr 14

Join The Point Washington Medical Clinic to celebrate their 6th birthday and transformation from a pop-up clinic to a stand alone facility!

Metamorphosis will take place Friday, April 14 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. on the Kelly Green in the Alys Beach community. Bring your own chair, but don’t forget your dancing shoes. There will be a cash bar and food trucks on site with delicious offerings available for purchase.

Introducing Celebrate! Alaqua — A month-long series of events during March to celebrate the opening of Alaqua Animal Refuge's new home!

Alaqua Animal Refuge is pleased to announce the formal opening of their new, one-of-a-kind facility, located at 155 Dugas Way, and invites the community to celebrate the momentous occasion with a month-long celebration of events titled “Celebrate! Alaqua” beginning March 4.
