New York Times Book Review:
"Tis the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature is stirring in John Dufresne's ghoulishly funny crime novel...John Dufresne's is an original talent. His humor is frightfully dark, but it's also quite dazzling - even by the exacting standards of South Florida crime fiction."

He has two books on writing and creativity: The Lie That Tells a Truth: a Guide to Writing Fiction and Is Life Like This? and A Guide to Writing Your First Novel in Six Months.
