Call For Artists - ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival May 7 & 8

The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County invites artists to apply to exhibit in the 28th annual ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival happening May 7-8, 2016 in South Walton, FL along Northwest Florida’s beaches. The festival takes place every year during Mother's Day weekend. At ArtsQuest, more than 130 fine artist exhibits will fill Grand Boulevard's Town Center for three days, along with great live music, live art demonstrations, food and beverages, and ImagiNation (where kids rule!).
 
The ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival is calling all visual artists - sculptors, photographers, painters and more!  Applications are being accepted through February 29th from artists wanting to exhibit at the 28th annual ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival and be eligible for cash awards, including Best of Show, Awards of Excellence, Awards of Merit and Judges' Choice.
 

The festival takes place at Grand Boulevard at Sandestin’s Town Center, which is also home to large-scale events such as South Walton Fashion Week and the South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival. Located along the Scenic Hwy. 98 Corridor, Grand Boulevard is easily accessible from regional drive and fly markets, including Houston, Memphis, Atlanta, Nashville, Birmingham, Mobile, Pensacola and Tallahassee.  
 
Highlights of the Festival include:

• $10,000 cash in artist awards
• 5,000 quality art buyers
• Children’s activities in “ImagiNation”
• Live music and entertainment
• Food vendors & full cash bar, along with existing restaurants in Grand Boulevard

ArtsQuest is a part of ArtWeek South Walton, an initiative with the purpose to bring communities, organizations and businesses together to present quality arts and entertainment to the community. Spanning at least ten days, ArtWeek will feature visual, performing and literary arts programming in diverse formats and in various venues throughout South Walton.

With the support of the Tourist Development Council, Visit South Walton, there is a comprehensive marketing campaign for ArtsQuest and ArtWeek South Walton, including radio (Southeastern markets), social media, direct mail, posters, online advertising, and regional and national print media.
 
Grand Boulevard and the surrounding area offer affordable accommodations, including hotels, camping and condo and home rentals. Other artist amenities include conveniently located artist parking, booth sitting, overnight security, continuous artist hospitality.

Award winners from the 2015 ArtsQuest show do not need to submit jury fee and will be automatically admitted into the 2015 ArtsQuest show should they meet the application deadline.
 
Deadline for artist application is February 29, 2016 (midnight). Apply online and read rules and regulations.
