CVHN Changing Childrens' Lives with a Smile

Almost eight years ago, the first annual Hurricane Party was held to kick start Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN). Founder Tricia Carlisle-Northcutt's intention was to provide a way for all children to be healthy and happy, but she knew she needed the help and commitment of our entire community.

Since then, CVHN has provided thousands of our children with medical, dental, vision and mental health care. Who could have imagined the enormity of the need right here in South Walton?

Relaxing on the Gulf with Cocktails and Sushi at the Gathering Spot

I'm going to let you in on a little secret; a comfortable SoWal spot where you can meet your friends for a drink, excellent food and amazing sushi. And it's quite affordable, considering it's in a beautiful setting right on the Gulf, flanked by massive dunes. You can lounge inside on cushy chairs around cocktail tables, or outside around the pool by a toasty fire.

Welcome to the Emeril Coast

Welcome to the Emeril Coast: Q&A with Destin’s newest resident, celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse

I recently had the opportunity to “kick it up a notch” - I mean talk with, the chef extraordinaire, and newly minted Destin resident Emeril Lagasse about his newest show Emeril’s Florida, his love for the Sunshine State, and his family’s recent move to Destin. I think you’ll be enlightened by what I found out about the BAM! Master and I think you’ll understand even better why those who can vacation and live anywhere they want, often choose Northwest Florida’s Gulf Coast.
