We are disappointed to announce the cancellation of the 2020 Sandestin Wine Festival. The well-being of our guests, community, volunteers, and staff is important and in light of the continued uncertainty and potential health risks by COVID-19, the annual festival, originally scheduled for April 16-19, will no longer take place. This was a tough decision, but with the national and state recommendations to not hold large scale events, we believe this is the correct choice.

The forth annual Fall Festival at Camp Helen State Park takes place on Saturday, October 5 from 10 am – 3 pm. There will be fun, food, entertainment, hay rides and games for the whole family!  State Park entrance fee of $2 per person for anyone the age of 7 and above.  Kids 6 and under are free.  The event is free,  however donations are accepted. Donations will go directly to the Friends of Camp Helen State Park to benefit the park's resource management projects and interpretive programs.

Join Camp Helen State Park for a leisurely 90-minute paddle on Lake Powell, one of the world's largest Coastal Dune Lakes. Learn about the history, natural communities and wildlife that make this Outstanding Florida Water so unique and important. This guided kayak tour will be enjoyable for individuals, families and groups. All levels of experience are welcome. Watercraft and gear from outside the park are not permitted. Be sure to bring sun protection and drinking water.

Join the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce for The Next BIG Thing on August 27, 2019 at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort. At this event over 350 attendees will come together for a fun day of networking, professional development and inspiration. Presented by the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, the event will showcase dynamic speakers, addressing topics beneficial to empowering women professionally and personally, emerging and existing entrepreneurs and leadership development.  

The Friends of Camp Helen State Park & Camp Helen park staff, invite the whole family to the 6th annual Movies & More series, for an evening filled with movies, food & fun. Held at the parks Recreation Hall, this event is FREE and open to the public. Seating will be provided.  

Starting at 6:00pm, the evening begins with an interpretative program, followed by a campfire cookout, including hotdogs, s'mores & drinks, and will end with a more sure to be enjoyed by all.
