Prepare the family for a fun-filled evening at 30Avenue on November 30th from 4:30 - 8pm. Rock the Block Wineter Music Festival brings together twenty eight bands to perform more than 40 covers or originals. All bands are between 3rd to 12th grade.

Starting at 6:15pm, a battle of the bands will take place between a dozen bands with a winner being awarded at the end of the night.

Momentum is building for 10th annual New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop at Pier Park on Saturday, December 31 with the announcement of the live entertainment as part of the celebration. Everyone will enjoy family-friendly activities, including the nation’s only family beach ball drop at 8 p.m., and a New Year’s countdown at midnight.Let the countdown begin!

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park invites you and your family to come out for a First Day Hike on January 1 with two hikes scheduled this year. Enjoy the first day of the New Year leisurely exploring the park with a Ranger to learn about the park and its wildlife.

The Sounds of the Season will take place at Village Baptist Church on Friday, Dec. 1 starting at 7pm. The 22nd Annual Sounds of the Season carries on its tradition of a community Christmas concert featuring special guest artist, Sarah Simmons Langston and a variety of traditional and sacred Christmas music.

Bring the whole family out to Movie Night at The Hub starting at 5:00pm. Tonight's movies will be A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving  starting at 5pm, FROZEN at 5:30pm, and ELF after - making Wednesday, Nov.  22nd a three movie marathon night! Movies are shown on the jumbotron on the events stage.  Free and open to everyone. Come sit outdoors on comfy chairs and enjoy dinner, drinks, ice cream and shakes, and a fun family movie on the big screen at The Hub on Scenic 30A at WaterSound Beach.
