The 2016 Seaside Writers Conference is slated for May 14-21 at the Seaside Academic Village in Seaside, Florida. The annual gathering of creative writers from all over the nation features award-winning writers in poetry and fiction and screenwriting who will offer a full week of intensive writing workshops, one day seminars, school outreach programs, and social events.

On Saturday, Oct. 29, the Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles will be at the Santa Clara Regional Beach Access in Seagrove Beach (3468 Scenic 30A East) from 7:30-9:00am hosting a Trash Bash Beach Clean Up.         

Even with the fantastic crew that cleans the beaches every night here in Walton County, there is still a lot we can do to help keep the beaches clean and safe for sea turtles during nesting season. 

On  Saturday, August 20, the Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles will be at the Inlet Beach Regional Beach Access  (W Park Place and Emerald Cove Lane) from 7:30-9:00am hosting a Trash Bash Beach Clean Up.         

Even with the fantastic crew that cleans the beaches every night here in Walton County, there is still a lot we can do to help keep the beaches clean and safe for sea turtles during nesting season. 

On  Saturday, June 18, the Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles will be at the Ed Walline Regional Beach Access  (4447 W Scenic Hwy 30A) from 7:30-9:00am hosting a Trash Bash Beach Clean Up.

On  May 21, the Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles will be at the Grayton Dunes Regional Beach Access  (288 Garfield St) from 7:30-9am hosting a Trash Bash Beach Clean Up.

On April 16th, the Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles will be at the Miramar Beach Regional Beach Access (2375 Scenic Gulf Dr.) from 7:30-9am hosting a Trash Bash Beach Clean Up.            

Even with the fantastic crew that cleans the beaches every night here in Walton County, there is still a lot we can do to help keep the beaches safe for sea turtles. 

Bring your own water bottle, hat and sunscreen as we’ll be walking the beach, picking up trash, filling in leftover holes and knocking down leftover sandcastles. If you need work gloves - bring them!  

TOPS’L Beach & Racquet Resort in South Walton, Florida will host the $10,000 USPTA TOPS’L Clay Court Championships this May, one of four tournaments that comprise the USPTA Surface Championship Series. The event is open to the public to attend and watch USPTA-certified tennis professionals compete for cash prizes in each category. USPTA TOPS’L Clay Court Championships will take place May 14 through 16, 2016.

Time to get out your finest pearls and fanciest hat and join us for an afternoon of tea benefitting Fore Her.

Join Fore Her friends for tea, scones, petit fours and quiche at Vue on 30a on Sunday, May 1 from 1-3pm. There will be great tea, great food, fabulous view, a few awesome raffle prizes and wonderful company. 

Bryan Kennedy is back in town and is performing at Hibiscus Backyard of Love on Tuesday, April 19. The music starts at 7:00 p.m. but come early for the low country shrimp boil and pulled pork sandwich plates starting at 5:00 p.m. This awesome local event benefits Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN).
 
This listening event will showcase Bryan's original music and his stories. Beer, wine and soft drinks served. Admission/donation $15 (includes first drink). Cash and credit cards accepted.
