Sandestin Gumbo Festival Spices It Up Feb 12-13, 2016

Come join all SoWal gumbo lovers for the 2016 Annual Sandestin Gumbo Festival! It's one of the very best events of the entire year in South Walton, FL! What a great time tasting gumbo all around the Village of Baytowne Wharf, listening to live Zydeco music and having a cocktail. Visitors and gumbo-lovers from across the Southeast are expected to join in the festivities during the extended Presidents Day weekend.

Miramar Beach is The Best of Both Worlds

In our area, we are fortunate to have two premier beach destinations that merge almost seamlessly together. While they are neighbors, each offers a unique experience. The remarkable communities of which we speak are, of course, South Walton and Destin.

South Walton is comprised of a varied collection of “towns” that nestle predominantly along Scenic Highway 30A. Each offers their own interpretation of a life well lived by the beach.

Building Homes for Heroes Wins Festival of Trees Prize

It's a repeat! Building Homes for Heroes took home Best of Show for the second year in a row at the 6th annual Festival of Trees at Grand Boulevard with their military themed Christmas Tree, complete with small wooden houses and flags. The design earned Building Homes for Heroes $2,500, aiding in their mission to build homes for returning disabled veterans.
