South Walton Organizations Launch The Underwater Museum Of Art
The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) in partnership with the South Walton Artificial Reef Association (SWARA) will join two of SoWal's most beloved attractions - the arts and the Gulf of Mexico - by creating The Underwater Museum of Art (UMA), North America's first underwater permanent sculpture exhibit. The project has support from the National Endowment For The Arts.

Walton County Opens Pilcher Park On The Bay
About 50 people attended the opening of Pilcher Park on Friday, April 7th. The crowd was was wowed by the gem of a park underneath the 331 bridge on the south shore of the Choctawhatchee Bay.
Walton County Commissioners joined the celebration along with representatives of the Florida Department of Transportation to dedicate the new Thomas Pilcher Park and the second span of the Clyde B. Wells Bridge.

Walton County Working On Regional Paddle Trail
Walton County began the process of developing a paddle trail initiative on the Choctawhatchee River beginning in 2011. Former Walton County Board Member Scott Brannon led the movement towards the application for grant funds to develop the Blueway Paddle Trail. Unfortunately, Walton County was not awarded funding at that time.

Anthropologie Now Open in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin
National women’s retailer Anthropologie is now open in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin, joining recently opened men’s and women’s retailers Lilly Pulitzer and Vineyard Vines. All three stores are located in the new Center building, located on the west side of Grand Boulevard, across from the Boulevard 10 Cinema.
