Chandler Williams loves photography, travel, and the water life. All of his loves come together for him here on the shores of South Walton. Chandler has taken it to the next level with a new studio in Grayton Beach and his selection as South Walton’s Photographer of the Year for 2014.
Skip Moore, owner of 723 Whiskey Bravo, hosted a Party with a Purpose on February 8, 2014 to celebrate 2013 HALO Award Recipient, his wife Victoria Moore. Victoria was recognized for “Helping Achieve Life-changing Outcomes” through her outstanding efforts as a dedicated Angel Flight Soars volunteer.
When Frasier Hansen and Shawn Sherman met a few years ago, opening a craft brewery in South Walton was just a seed of a dream. A lot of planning, anxiety, sweat, and financing has passed since, and Idyll Hounds Brewing Company is about to blossom. The duo beam like proud poppas when speaking of the first batch of ale soon to be to be brewed in their brand-new facility in the South Walton Commerce Park, off Hwy 98 between Point Washington and Rosemary Beach.
Tyler Hysom is originally from the Mississippi Gulf Coast and has been in the food and beverage industry since he was 16 years old. After vacationing in the Destin area since 2000, Hysom decided to make the move to the Emerald Coast in 2007.
Annie Parker started making her rustic cuffs less than a year ago, and the response has been much greater than she expected. The cuffs are a must-have jewelry item for many South Walton visitors and locals, and are made for the wrist of a man or woman. As a matter of fact, one of her cuffs has been worn on the TV series Nashville by Charles Esten, who plays Deacon.
Local middle school teacher Kim Radford jumped from a plane high above the fields and farms of North Walton County last Saturday. It was no ordinary skydive for Kim. It was jump number 1,000 for her, and many family members and friends waited 10,000 feet below with hugs and smiles.
Demetrius Fuller is a proud beach local who is the very embodiment of exceptional talent and generous spirit. His dream was to create a professional orchestra for our community, with an eye toward giving back whenever possible.
Demetrius has succeeded in achieving his main dream, and as the founder of Sinfonia Gulf Coast, he is able to give back to the community through entertainment, education, and inspiration.

They are coached by SWHS science teacher and cheerleading coach, Ashlee Scarpulla.
Sundog Books in Seaside announces that Florida author, John Dufresne will be available for two events on Thursday, August 8. Dufresne is currently on tour promoting his newest book, No Regrets, Coyote.
From 5-6:30 p.m., Sundog Books will be hosting Mr. Dufresne on the store's porch for a book signing. Beer and wine will be served.
