Hibiscus Café by Grayton Beach Catering is a local favorite coffee and breakfast spot on the grounds of Hibiscus Coffee and Guesthouse in Grayton Beach. Locals and visitors alike enjoy stopping in to have breakfast under the oaks at one of the most peaceful places at the beach.
The cafe serves a mostly vegetarian menu filled with many indulgent favorites from over the years. Their signature Waffle Wonderful is homemade and comes topped with peanut butter, fresh fruit, pecans, shredded coconut and a drizzle of honey.
Nosh on everything from cinnamon rolls to fruit and granola bowls. Go all out with a grit bowl topped with bacon and eggs, or a spinach, tomato and feta frittata. Enjoy a fine cup of coffee while you're at it. Make sure to check out the chalkboard for the daily special.
Grayton Beach Catering is the crew behind the scenes at Hibiscus Café. They also happen to be the exclusive catering and planning provider for Hibiscus Back Yard of Love, also located on the guesthouse grounds.
Grayton Beach Catering lives by an inspiring mantra, "It’s gonna be pretty, the food’s gonna be awesome and everyone is gonna be loved." The local catering outfit is owned and operated by Cheri Peebles and her son Donald "Scooter" Reeder. The pair bring creativity and beauty to every event they plan, no matter the size. You just better be ready to be treated like kinfolk, because that’s how this family rolls.
Hibiscus Café serves guests staying onsite at the Guesthouse and is open to the public. The café is known for serving some of the best coffee and breakfast in South Walton every morning of the week. For folks who have booked their stay at the Guesthouse, breakfast is included in all room, suite and apartment rentals.
Hibiscus Coffee and Guesthouse is an old fashioned, romantic getaway just up the street from idyllic Grayton Beach. The Guesthouse includes 12 distinctly different accommodations, all furnished and decorated with a vintage Old Florida feel. The Backyard of Love is a SoWal icon, where you Hug In, Hug Out and leave feeling like family.
Part of the charm of Hibiscus has always been their motivational “Be…” chalkboard. The large board stands out in the front of the guesthouse and each day a word is written on the board as motivation for passersby to “Be Better.” Many people believe the “Be” of the day speaks directly to them - Be Kind, Be Gentle, Be Dreaming, Be Positive, Be Strong. When you start your day with a positive sign, all things are good!
Stop by the café and grab a cup of coffee, relax in the courtyard overlooking the herb garden, find a comfy table for breakfast, or sit back in one of the Adirondacks to read a good book. Watch for music and special events happening in the Backyard of Love under the beautiful old oaks. Hibiscus Guesthouse also hosts special events such as wedding receptions in their intimate outdoor garden.
