Topsail Hill Preserve State Park November Adventures:       

Animal Tracks Nov. 7 | 3-4pm
This all ages program is designed to be a hands on learning experience in the art of tracking. You will learn different types of tracks and which animal makes them. Then you will get to make your own tracks using the same techniques used at the parks and go on a short hike to see tracks in the wild. This program will take place in the clubhouse and will utilize the surrounding area as you track different animals. Entry fee is $6.00.

 
Breakfast with a Ranger 
Nov. 8 | 9-11am
Topsail Hill Preserve State Park invites you and your family to Breakfast with a Ranger. Join the Rangers of Topsail Hill to learn about the park, its history and to ask them all the questions you can think of about the park its wildlife and anything in between. This program is ideal for the whole family to enjoy. To cover the cost of food, please bring $5, which goes to Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park to enhance the park, or bring your own breakfast. Enter the park through the main gate and park staff will direct you to the clubhouse.
 
White Tail Deer 
Nov. 14 | 3-4pm
Topsail Hill Preserve State Park invites you come learn about their most ubiquitous mammal, the White Tailed Deer. This program will cover the general life cycle of  deer, where they bed down, what the rut is, and where to find them. This is an all ages program. Enter the park through the main gate and the staff will direct you to the park's clubhouse, entry fee is $6.00.
 
Surf Fishing
Nov. 16 | 1-3pm
Surf fishing is a popular sport along the beaches of Topsail Hill. This program will teach you what types of bait will work, what times of year certain fish can be caught, and common fish you can catch from the beach. Fishing gear is optional, as the park has fishing gear. This program will take place at the Beach Access. Park in the Day Use parking area and catch the 1:00pm Tram to the beach. The program will take place once the 1:00pm Tram arrives at the beach. Entry fee is $6.00.
 
No Name Lake Hike
Nov. 21 | 3:30-5pm
Topsail Hill Preserve State Park invites you on a hike to view the park's natural beauty. This ranger led hike will take you through several of the ecosystems that make this park unique. The walk will culminate on the shore of No Name Lake and perhaps with a glimpse of the resident alligator. Please no open toe shoes  This is an all ages program. Enter the park through the main gate and the staff will direct you to Tram Stop 1. Entry fee is $6.00.
