Breast cancer patients and survivors are invited to join the monthly breast-cancer support group meeting at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m. in the Olson Women’s Diagnostic Center.
The mission of the support group is to empower breast-cancer patients and survivors through education, spirituality, support and humor. Benefits of joining a cancer-support group include an increased self-esteem, enhanced sense of community, and the joy of giving and receiving encouragement and hope. Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast is a 58-bed community hospital located just east of Destin in Miramar Beach, Florida.
