The Seaside Repertory Theatre presents Shipwrecked! An Entertainment—The Amazing Adventures of Louis de Rougemont (as Told by Himself). The show runs Tue, Wed & Thu evenings at 7:30pm on the main stage at the Seaside Meeting Hall Theatre.
The adventurous Louis de Rougemont invites you to hear his amazing story of bravery, survival and celebrity that left nineteenth-century England spellbound. Dare to be whisked away in a story of the high seas, populated by exotic islanders, flying wombats, giant sea turtles and a monstrous man-eating octopus. Shipwrecked examines how far we're willing to blur the line between fact and fiction in order to leave our mark on the world.
Shipwrecked! is written by Pulitzer prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies. The Rep's performance is directed by Scott Stackhouse with Brook Stetler playing Rougemont. Actors Charis Sellick and Kyle Walker join Brook on the stage as various characters throughout the performance. The family-friendly comedy is quick, funny and filled with adventure.This performance will delight theatre goers of all ages and interests this summer.
