I'm not saying I am. But, IF I did. What breed should I get? I already have a few names in mind.

Lots of things that determine which breed you should get. How big is your yard? Do you have young children? How much time will you get to spend with the dog?

And I think you should definitely name him "Saban."

I have a pretty big yard. NO kids. :shock: I work all day but mornings and nights I can spend time with "him."

Saban is good. One option is Wilson (as in John Parker). I do like double names for animals...

Not a dog expert, but a few things you should know. Avoid hounds because they bark alot and IF they ever get out, they're gone.

We have two Golden Retrievers and they are the sweetest, most-loyal dogs ever. My wife wants a Jack Russell, but you talk about high-strung dogs. They're damn smart, though.

My advice is to do your homework on various breeds, their temperaments, and which one is best for you. I'm pretty sure the American Kennel Club has a website with all the info you would need. It's a big decision.

Pugs! They live to eat and sleep. Who could resist a dog like that? And, plus, they have the most adorable faces you could ever wish for.

I just got a pug a week ago!!!

I love him He is adorable and the sweetest puppy I've ever seen. He quickly made himself a part of our family, and even my husband has melted under his gaze.

I love hounds, though. I'd get a beagle if I got a hound. Golden Retrievers are wonderful but they shed and I HATE to vaccuum.

Seagrover had a Jack Russell for a minute. Those things are high maintenance. Too much for me to handle. We can stratch them on the list. And no mini poodles. Those things freak me out.
