Laminate Flooring? Yea or Nay?

I know I know, where have I been? I've lurked here and there. OL, I love Sam's new bangs, I'm like KDW - I've always had bangs. I look funny without them. And DD, what happened? You fell?

Well, it's been a fast month and 1/2. We put the house on the market, two days later got an offer and accepted it, bought a 39' camper and I'm planning the next house! I'm thinking laminate flooring due to doggy toenails. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Whew!! You been busy, gull!!! Have you looked at vinyl planks? I have laminate in my kitchen--hate it. Did the vinyl planks in the laundry room--Love it! It's much softer and quieter than laminate, and it's easy to install. Looks more like real wood too.

We have Pergo in the kitchen and master bathroom and absolutely love it. We mainly got it because of doggy nails too. It's practically indestructible. And I guess you could say it's loud. I mean, it's not quiet like linoleum or those peel and stick 12" tiles. We actually love the way it feels to us.

If I can find some pixs, I'll post. The kitchen is a b&W stone look and the bath is a white/natural marble. This probably sound icky but they're very beautiful.

Hey BC! I was about to start a search thread for you just this morning!

We had stained concrete floors at our lake house on the first floor and loved them. Friend of mine has the pergo and loves those too.
