Hey everybody! Thanks for all the ideas and suggestions. It's going to be the house that SoWal built! We are downsizing, dang a bunch of house cleaning. I don't want to vacuum another day in my life. We're going for around 12-1300 square feet. That is plenty of room for 2 people and hairy kid:lolabove:

FBB and myself put laminate in our basement 4 years ago. it! Wish it had been around prior to the el crapo carpet we put in when we moved in. Great for our furbabies and our grandbaby!

Bamboo is the way to go. Hard as concrete but ecofriendly as it is a renewable resource. No off gassing, biodegradable, little or no petroleum depending on the finish.

And beautiful!

Beach Crazy -first off, LOVE the avatar...tres sassy

Now, laminate versus real. Oh honey, REAL. Ain't nobody worth their shi-ate going to put fake anything in their abode. Would you let a fake man in yor bed, oh no -take it from me -the inflatable man just isn't going to push your buttons and neither is the fake wood..............oh wait, isn't that the same...........

I digress. Be honest. Go with real hardwood, if you can't afford it -look at stained concrete (tres chique) or tile or CORK flooring -very eco-friendly yet affordable.

Happy decorating.

I know I know, where have I been? I've lurked here and there. OL, I love Sam's new bangs, I'm like KDW - I've always had bangs. I look funny without them. And DD, what happened? You fell?

Well, it's been a fast month and 1/2. We put the house on the market, two days later got an offer and accepted it, bought a 39' camper and I'm planning the next house! I'm thinking laminate flooring due to doggy toenails. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Oh, and I'm glad to be back :D

Our dog's toenails never messed up our wood floors course he was a big lazy golden that slept all day :dunno:
