The big difference here is that multi-million dollar home sales are being affected by this craziness of the PCB zip debacle.

So if the Florida Assn of Realtors can talk Sorry Charlie into getting the zip codes changed, Florida will find relief from its housing constipation.... Who knew? :dunno:

Zip Code envy....how lame is that??

not at all, but it is a glitch in the system, which has been frucked up for quite some time.

You honestly mean to tell me that some prospective buyer of a multi-million dollar home said to you, "Jeez, you mean to tell me that this house has a Panama City Zip Code?? To hell with this house! Show me something with a more upscale zip code."

Sounds like a textbook case of recto-cranial inversion--was there an echo when he spoke?

The "glitch" isn't with the "system"....but you're right-on with the frucked-up part.

Never said that. Go back and read my posts. I simply said that it is possible that many homes are not showing up under the search by zipcodes in this area, especially if they are listed with the correct mailing address zipcode. Usually, when someone buys a home on the east end of 30A, past Camp Creek, it is only after the purchase when they are upset that they have a PCB mailing address. One cannot brag about owning in SoWal when his or her friends see the PCB mailing address.

Maybe that's God's way of showing them and their "impressionable friends" how incredibly shallow they all really are??

OH! The inhumanity of it all!

wow. As an FYI- I see many variations of the addresses within a neighborhood in the MLS. For example,

555 Zippy Ln
Seacrest Beach, FL 32459

556 Zippy Ln
Seacrest Beach, FL 32413

557 Zippy Ln
Panama City Beach, FL 32413

558 Zippy Ln
Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459

559 Zippy Ln
Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32413

If the zipcode is still the Panama City Beach zip (32413), in the searches on Realtor.com and other sites, the listings will come up only in the search for that PCB zipcode. :bang:

This is kind of screwed up. Some showing Santa Rosa Beach with 32459, some saying Seacrest Beach with 32413, some showing Santa Rosa Beach with the PC Beach zip, 557 Zippy Ln with a PC Beach zip. What a mess. One thinks all of those homes on Zippy Ln would of course be under one zip code. :dunno:

It all depends on which address/zip the agent thinks will score the most hits. Technically, all of the zips on the fictitious "Zippy Ln," would have only one mailing address (plus one delivery address for the Fed Ex and Ups peeps).
