I have never seen more dirty politics than I have seen in the last 48 hours....all of it coming from the Clinton campaign. Hillary Clinton is disgusting.

I'm just glad they are showing their TRUE colors, so people understand what I've been railing against!

do what? please explain.

The Clintons have always been into political bloodsport (at least since Bill hit the national scene) and as long as it was against Republicans, it was 'cool'. Now they are using their same tactics against Obama, a fellow Democrat, and it is forcing many donkeys to come to grips with Clinton reality.

no. don't get the wrong idea my little skunky-babydoll. The clinton's waged an excellent campaign against the republicans, both times, and compared to the republicans' campaigns they were quite eloquent, IMO. I was very proud of their work and victory. comparing a clinton campaign to any republican campaign makes them look pretty darn sweet and charming and innocent. not to mention intelligent and the best choice by far. the only real choice.

seeing the clinton's compared to Obama is quite a different story, much contrast, and the clinton's are coming off as desperate as all hail... it's a woman running now, and the stakes are high. no one wants a republican president this time around. she has a real chance. and she's doing whatever it takes. this is a different time and a different era. no comparison whatsoever to Bill's campaign's, IMO.

In other words, I would vote for them all over again if we went back to the past. But, this is 2008. We need fundamental change and that means a new, extraordinary leader. one that can end the disastrous policies of the current administration (in obama's words). hopefully one that won't be tortured by the republicans to the point that real leadership won't be possible by anyone.

Bob Dole confronts Clinton after a battery of lies is launched against Dole during campaign 1996. Google it. Believe what you will, but team Clinton has always been about winning by any means required, be it the destruction of sexually harassed females or wounded WWII vets. That is the record...add an otherwise honorable guy from Illinois to the list of Clinton roadkill.

I'll just remind you that though W is a dork, Congress (Dem majority) is keeping the status quo. This Dem Congress has pushed more of W's agendas through than the Rep Congress did. It's all the same. There is no change. People say they want change, but the only change people want is W out of the White House, and no matter who you vote for, that change will happen, and the next President will say, "see, I brought you change."

And I'll just remind you that the Democrats in Congress do not have an operating majority. They do have a small majority, which means they get to set the agenda. However, they would need 60% of the seats to be able to pass their programs without Republican support. Washington is so partisan now that convincing 40 Republicans to break ranks is almost impossible.

We have two choices....
  • Elect more Democrats to Congress
  • Take down the level of partisan rhetoric and work with Republicans to take care of the people's business

My point is that while the President may sit in the highest seat, the Congress runs the Gov't.
