I go to food network...and check out recipes....they rate them easy to difficult.....;-)
next to my fave cookbooks, this is my recipe resource!!!
Have Skunky pick up Thai food at Royal Orchid on the way home.
this is the very best idea yet. in fact, I don't know why he doesn't pick up RO once per week for us all. we'll give him ten dollah.
First of all, you did not say healthy....
- crock pot is your friend, I have cajillions of recipes
- shake and bake pork chops
- lasagna
- tacos
- quesadillas
- fancy sandwich night (reuben, club, philly)
- soup w/grilled cheese
- stuffed bell peppers
- crawfish casserole (i have a recipe and it is super easy)
- alfredo w/ mushrooms
these sounds delish, except: I never liked the crock pot - don't know why. so gave away the wedding gift crock pot years ago... I like doing my stew or soup or whatever on the stove in the dutch oven. if I'm not home to cook, then it ain't going to be cooking. also, lasagna takes me hours - or a whole day, so its night a weeknight deal.
tacos rock!!!
love grilled cheese and tomato soup!
stuffed bell peppers - now, that is an idea! how do you do these?
ibd - you've got all kinds of recipes you need to be sharing. start a thread! what was that crab dip on super fat tues?
punzy - great little thread my little domestic goddess... let me think of some favorite suppas, and I'll give my list.
I'm in the cooking slump too, and have been for the longest time (much longer than usual). I love cooking, when its for funn and when its not expected as a daily thing.
this is my suggestion, from me to you. take a break. neither of you will starve if you don't cook. pick up something, go out, eat a sandwich, make a big ass pot of soup and eat it for days on end.
don't cook anything. seriously. read your cook books, or don't. refresh yourself. and your cooking inspiration will return. eventually.
if you don't want to do it, then don't. you will not enjoy cooking if you gotta do it (like our moms did). you will survive without a hot meal each night.
meanwhile, want me to come cook tomorrow night?
