Just when I thought I had nothing else to contribute to this thread ........after leaving my service industry job last night (so yes.., I do love the tourists) at around 11pm (worked a double so that was about 12 hours of tourist filled love) I had to very abruptly stop at a non crosswalk spot in/near Seaside when a family of about 10 that included 2 adults, 3/4 teens and about 4 toddlers dart into the street from the south only to come to a stop in the middle of 30A when they realized that the sidewalk on the north side of the street was completely filled with water and they didnt know if the stroller they were pushing (out into traffic) was going to sink or what. I am fairly sure that these were tourists, (since most local families that have that many small children are at home in bed at that time of night) This area is very dark, no street lights, and I could not even see them on the south shoulder until half of them were in the street. There were no reflectors on the stroller, and none of them had those little blinking shoes on, all wearing dark clothing. Seems to me that basic trick or treating rules should come into play when walking with that many kids in the middle of the night, even if it isnt Halloween.
