Please Note: You have ONLY 5 more days to input into this thread which has covered everything and anything Bush... except Barbara Bush, his poor mother. Time is running out folks!

Well hell, let's not be rude and leave the First Mom out.
If Barbara Bush's "beautiful mind" feels that "body bags and death" are not "relevant" in her son's war I'm sure his failures as POTUS are even less relevant.

Right here!
No, no, no, back over here! You side stepped that one.

My point is that without massive cutting the only way to even come to a break even point taxes have to be raised.

Personally I'm all about military cutting. Before everyone gets in a huff I'd like to point out the Naval Mine Unit over in PCB. Can anyone tell me the last time a Naval ship was either threatened or hit with a mine?

Fine, I'm all for that. But bare in mind, over 2/3's of the federal budget is expended on entitlements. You're not likely to get very far by only cutting defense spending.

Also, just out of curiosity, how high are you willing to let your taxes be raised? Please provide a percentage of gross income over what you already pay.

Upwards of 30% if budgets are slashed and my money is going to paying down debt.

This question presumes that the people who wish to raise your taxes actually pay the amount for which they are legally obligated. In light of recent events, that seems a faulty presumption. For example, I'm willing to pay 100% - see I don't have any income because I take credits for say, among other things, ..... sending my kids to overnight summer camps.

You're willing to pay an additional 30% of your income above and beyond what you currently pay?
