So as I sit here drinking my coffee and soaking the early morning cool breezes
and solitude, it occurred to me that I haven't suffered enuff, so I thought why not
start a new thread that is sure to get it rolling.

Has anyone not seen the new directional signs round 30-A and Hwy 395?
I could kick myself for not taking a pic :bang:but with the week being what it is.......

There quite smart I think, Not to obtrusive or obtuse. Quite simple sorta odd
in a way but I like!!!

So let's get this one started!!!

So are you saying the big blue signs are finally being replaced? Where in particular did you see one? I have seen only the Timpoochee Trail signs.

I do like them better than the big blue signs. They seem flimsy though and I wonder how many will survive storms.
There does seem to be a lot of them. I'm on the West end of 30-A. There must be 100 signs from 393 to 98.
I noted that they give mileage from 30-A and 98 going East for walkers or bicycles.

I believe there were going to be 127 signs for the first phase of the Timpoochee Trail signage. (the small signs, not to be confused with the "wayfinding" (directional) signs).

Probably the same people doing both needing more time. Get the new ones up as soon as possible and into use and then clean up the old ones.

BR, the "agreement" which was made, was one with which I was fully pleased, but it is what it is. The TDC Board said the Big Blue Wayfinding Signs would come down when the new ones went up, but they never gave a time frame, which in my mind means that they will stay up indefinitely.

I like the signs on Timpoochee. It makes it easier to ride with young kids. I'm not having to yell "Watch out!" all the time. Also the mileage signs help me keep up with my OCD need to know how far I've biked at a time.
