A little off topic but you'ld think with so many good books out there somebody in Hollywood or NY could make more decent movies!!! :bang:

I just read My Sisters Keeper. I will never voluntarily reread that book nor will I be able to watch the movie. It was a beautiful story and a well written book but I never want to cry like that again. I just picked up Between Georgia by Joshilyn Jackson. I'll let you know about that one.
Good, mindless, fun reading that will not educate you or lift you up in any way would be the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich. I have read 1 - 15 and most of the between the numbers books.
Christopher Moore is another fun author but in a different way. He is off the wall and as nutty as a fruit cake. The Stupidest Angel and Lamb were my favorites. For a mind bender read Lamb back to back with Christ the Lord by Anne Rice. It took me about a week but it was interesting.

I was just about to say Janet Evanovich-the number series has me laughing out loud! I read some books by Janet Graves that were also a bit of a screwball romantic comedy that I enjoyed-I love having 4 Half Price Book Stores within 20 minutes of my house!

I am all about a combo of "literature" and "fluff" - you need the variety! :D

I sometimes get in a mood of all serious* books, but usually take turns with the serious and the fluff.

* surprised you there, didn't I?

Right now, I am catching up on Vanity Fair mags.
