Keep it up! I think the first two weeks of a lifestyle change are the hardest.

Sorry you got sick. But if you had Phenergan IV in the hospital, that stuff is awesome.

Congrats on your progress weight-wise!

Tap and Track sounds great. But I don't have an iPhone. I've seen websites that help you track your calories with a large database of name brands and spedific restaurant items, but not one that tells me if I've eaten the right variety of food items. Does anyone know of a website or an app that works on Windows XP that does this?

And I am STILL sick. I have lost three pounds this week but it is due to lack of calorie intake, not output. I don't know what this dreg is that I picked up.

Calorie King is a website that tracks stuff. There was a fitness program that was desktop I had before. I'll try to remember what it was. I prefer to have it on a pda and HATE having to log in to a website to log stuff. I'm trying to remember if my Garmin software had something.

Skunky, you made me stop, drop and roll with your progress. I guess you made a good first step though. Starting tomorrow?

Tootsie, come on over and try out our dvd if you want to. You could borrow it to have a look-see.

.it is still in the box:funn::wave:

But you're using the box to do bicep curls, right? :rotfl:

I actually stuck with the six-day Express program for eight days (lost a little over seven pounds--I think I always lose more the first week of a program--but I feel fantastic!) and I am starting the actual Power 90 TODAY!

Wish me luck!

I just ordered Power 90! This is a result of being called fat and stupid a few days ago.

I am really tired of people walking through our yard to get to the private beach walkover that our neighborhood pays for. I nicely told a group of people starting to walk down our driveway in order to cut through to the beach that, as the sign says, this is a private road with a private beach access. They said that the sheriff told them that it was okay. I told them nicely that said the sheriff was wrong. The apparent father in the group got right up into Big D's face and bulged his chest out, as though to try to start a fight. Big D just looked at him in amazement, and I told the guy that he's a lot taller than you. The guy said that he might be shorter, but at least he's not fat like we are. Then he said that we obviously have low IQs if we thought we knew more than the sheriff's office. I told him that's not the case because we both have Ph.D.'s. He wouldn't let up -- kept snarling at us with his upper lip curled and teeth gritted. Finally his wife and daughter were so embarrassed by him that they talked him into dropping it.

I cried. It really hurt my feelings that someone called me fat and stupid. I know the latter is not true, but I do need to lose some weight after having two family members in the hospital and/or nursing home since April and only having time to pick up fast food.

I am sorry but mean people just suck! I must tell you 5 years ago, I was there. I had no clue I was really in bad shape. WE were surfing in Costa Rico so I thought I was in good enough condition to do that so I must be OK. I even had a personal trainer(The good ol days). Then the pictures from the trip came back and I was the fat guy in the middle.... I could not believe how my mind had manipulated my head into thinking I was in shape. I saw the Power 90 commercial and something just clicked. Go for it and I promise if you follow the instructions it will work for you. Bev and I have kicked it up another notch and it has even become something we share in our marriage. Remember it is about progress not perfection. Just keep coming back and pushing play. Never give up and it will become a part of who you are. Maybe, these mean people did you a favor. Now go show them! They will always be mean and inconsiderate. You are smart and can lose weight!
Good luck!

I really did start today! :D

At lunch time. The Sculpt 1-2 didn't seem as hard as I thought it would be, but I was dripping by the end. Also, the tops of my thighs felt a little shaky going up stairs afterwards. I'm so glad I didn't put off Day 1.

Looks like a good site. Thanks.

Gosh, you and Bev are so thin -- I can't imagine you being anything else.

Depression and stress made me anorexic years ago. Here's a photo of me from summer 2003. I weighed 117. But add menopause to depression and stress, and I went the other direction -- got fat in places I'd never had, for example tummy fat and back fat.

Thanks for the pep talk.

I really did start today! :D
