Taking personal responsibility for their education and future is a great message...now if he would just deliver the same message to the left leaning parents. Instead his next speech this week will be back to the victimhood and entitlement programs so that we can move closer towards the changed America of total government dependency.

funny, but sentiments exactly to the crowd with their hands out
.there was a large portion of this text taken out.....the controversial version. i was opposed the original, but this one was good. but, make no mistake about it, the prez changed his course due to pressure from the opposition and the opposition was justified in opposing it.
In my opinion, there is no "play book".
you are certainly entitled to your opinion, but if you really believe there is no play book, then obviously you do not know anything about how political campaigns are run.
You seem to neglect one small fact. This is, supposedly, no longer a campaign. He is now President, not a candidate and "play book" is a term that should not be in play, possibly "affirmative results" would be better. So far, none are being seen, though people like Axelrod are sure trying their best to spin it that way.In my opinion, there is no "play book".

Andy, it is the Republicans who are using the PlayBook, trying their best to destroy anything that the President does.
He is the President, duly elected, and as Mrs. Bush says, "we all should respect the Office of the President..." he is, after the president of all the people.
But, the Republican campaign to win back some power is struggling and they are desperate. Unfortunately, the moderate conservative wing of the Party has given away to the fringe element, they are floundering, and suffering, and many are being exploited by the scare tactics, I truly hope that soon, before any more damage is done to anything, that someone in the Republican Party will stand up and say Enough.
I have posted this before: what we all need now is another Bill Buckley to speak the true conservatism and to lead a Party that has gone off track back to some semlance of order.
