I am from NJ, and all of my friends and family still live there. This is truly amazing in todays political world? We had Rep. governors from 82-90, and 94-02. Is that todays political world? Keep making a story out of nothing....

yes, corzine was a horrible governor and so has the majority of past dem govs. but, for a republican to win that seat in a very blue state is purely amazing in todays political world. and if it matters, i follow politics nation wide especially in the northeast where im from. but, nice smug comment.

how do you know these folks spent 1million to get the gop candidate elected? olby tell you that. throwing your support doesnt mean spending money. there are laws against such a thing. why would palin or rush spend their own money to get someone elected in NY. think about it clearly instead of through the eyes of ideology....itll get you nowhere. trust me, i was there.

and upper NY isnt nearly has important to losing a blue state (NJ) and a red state that recently went for obama (V). that was suprising though. but, hoffman jumped in too late in the game on that one. could have been a different story otherwise. ive been to that area lots and its a red area for the most part.

How dare you challenge the veracity of kkddbb's words! Do you not know you are dealing with the foremost authority on northeast politics? What is wrong with you?:dunno:

romney is a great example. but, arent we alittle off track here. stay with me now... we could go back in history on everything. lets stay on subject ok?

MA was not always a blue state, Im from there. Him winning was a great feat, but nowhere near the level of NJ. Even with the kennedys, liberal aggendas didnt take effect. It took for teddy to bring the family to the leftside to push big spending to take the state to the far left. and i assure you, MA is a totally different place than it once was. The NH border has been overrun with former MA residents and that my friend is an absolute fact.

Weld came along post Dukakis when liberalism was very strong in that state. Again nothing unusual about Republican governors in Blue states. I happens all over the country. Many of them are moderates who transcend party boundaries. Of course this puts them on Sarah Failin's hit list.

correct, and they acted like big spending dems and the corruption was out of control. those arent republicans. its republicans like that that forces me not to register republican and stay independant. fact is, republican gov or not, state is overwhelming blue. are you going to deny this?

same with vermont as well. its amazing how liberal vermont has become with new york and mass migrants yet they still have a republican gov. speaks volumes on state by state elections versus national. and weld wasnt bad, but he wasnt romney thats for sure. romney did wonders in that state and the folks know it. all of which has been reversed and the folks know this as well.
