Yeah, I am.

I was on an internet forum discussing why I believe Alaska's former governor lacks the cognitive capacity to be POTUS when someone decided to tell me how I think I am smarter than others.



Me saying most people in the US are unqualified to be POTUS isn't getting personal especially considering that I put myself in that same category.

Minnie, it should be obvious to you that most on this board could care less what really happened. The obvious hate... and many will now deny it by saying she isn't smart enough or some othe such nonsense... is astounding.

Andy, the premise of the thread is that "Palin lacks the intelligence required to be POTUS because..."

It was never- "I hate Palin because..."

You are projecting thoughts and emotions onto people instead of engaging in the debate. If you believe she is smart enough to be POTUS then tell us...

If one person addresses you in a condescending fashion, you have the choice to either flag the post or ignore them. You in turn called out members of the Board as not being capable or lacking enough intelligence to be a Board President, nevermind POTUS. Sowal is a small community, and I well aware that you know of some who serve their Associations, and in what capacity, who also post on this Board. You may not have named names directly, but I feel you may have through insinuation, because your responses on this Board in the past have always been well thought out.

Huh? I'm afraid I am not with you at all, Mango. Your post leads me to believe you are reacting to something you think I said rather than something I did say.

Let me reiterate- I said that Palin isn't qualified to be POTUS. I went on to say that most people aren't qualified to be POTUS (let alone president of a homeowners association) AND I included myself in this category.

And you are somehow interpreting this as a personal attack against you or some other individual in this area or any other?

Let me know if I handled the other poster's personal attack inappropriately because I feel I took the high road.

EDIT: For the record, (besides myself) I cannot think of the name of any person who is the president of their homeowners association. The only individual citizen whose intelligence I am expressing concern about in this thread (directly or indirectly) is Sarah Palin. So again, I don't get where you are coming from.

Geo, I think many, myself included, would agree that Sarah Palin is not a top candidate for President. However never would I base that decision on her writing a few words on her hand. Just as I don't think using a teleprompter affects the ability of the President.

I personally think there are many choices of other women who are more qualified to be President than her.

I just think the media and some that follow the media; for lack of a better term, nitpick everything these days about politicians including the President.

If you fart in public I seriously doubt it will make the news, however I can assure you if the President or Sarah Palin does, It will make the news within minutes of happening.

To me that is a very sad commentary of what the focus has become in this nation.
