I'm sure Peter King isn't the only GOP house member who thinks that "we [the Republicans] are the ones who did shut the government down". It defies all common sense and logic for anyone to say, think, imply, or insinuate otherwise. Strangely Mr. King also states "Having said that, it is what it is, and the president has absolute obligation to come in as the head of the Democratic party but also as the head of the country. And the head of the country has an obligation, he has to end this.". I don't know what on earth he expects seeing as the cooercive blackmail tactics, if submitted to by Mr. Obama, would set a terrible precedent. This is a GOP tantrum perpetrated by extremist house members who realize that they don't have the accumen to extend their political careers beyond the elected positions they currently hold in their gerrymandered districts. They have nothing at all to lose, even if it means destroying our country.

Sowal was never closed off to political discussion. There are some useful posts on this thread and maybe some that aren't so useful. Truth be told, yours is the most pointless and self-serving I've seen so far. really what are you trying to accomplish? Noone is forcing you to take part in these discussions. One thread out of thousands is hardly gumming up the forum.
