Liberals aren't going to change conservative minds and vice versa. Some of us believe in the separation of powers and limited government and following that concept should apply to both Democrats and Republicans. Obama seems determined to undermine the separation of powers. His administration has demonstrated that by ignoring congressional subpoenas and the president's illegal appointments in the NLRB. I believe he really sees himself as King Barack Hussein. Some of his cheerleaders seem to be OK with letting him be King.

It would be King Obama if that were true, at least attempt to get your titles right.

Again, conservatives like yourself, talk out of both sides of their mouths. You demand that Obama solve the issues in the middle east, Ebola and economic issues, but the moment he takes action you start screaming about him taking action without your personal approval. What would you like him to do take action or do nothing? Your side has nothing down pat.

The logical inference from the thread title would seem to indicate that there are those who feel that Mr. Hopenchange is planning on being (horrors) an obstructionist!

How deliciously ironic!

GOP still hasn't gotten over that ACA passed with virtually no support from them. They fought it tooth and nail. They even shut down the government as a hostage in order to get their way. It didn't work. I think obstructionism via veto will be called for in the next 2 years, but I think that the conflict is really going to be be within the Republican party itself. It's going to be messy, but very interesting. The is no motivation for the President to cave, so why should he? He showed them who was boss last year when the GOP shut down the government, he'll have to keep schooling them some more.

Obamacare was instrumental in the Dems getting their arses handed to them this past election. Why in the world would any Republican have voted for a law that has NEVER had the support of the American people? Obama's spread-the-wealth vision of Utopia is backfiring in the face of the Dems, but the emperor is charging forward, as defiant and narcissistic as ever. I am all for him, we all see how that worked this election. I am not sure they taught Leadership 101 in community organizing school.

Lost in the world
I've heard elections have consequences. I guess we'll have to see.

However, if the idiots on the right who are talking impeachment get their way, watch out.

I'm glad ACA passed, not that I need it. It's a good thing for the country, and major accomplishment for the president. I couldn't care less that it might have cost the dems the Senate, and I couldn't care less about the President's legacy. ***MISSION ACCOMPLISHED****

What is your objection to the Affordable Care Act?

Those of you who think Obamacare is so great, why is it that all the jobs that have been created are part time low wage jobs and the typical work week is fewer than 20 hours? If you don't believe this ask an employee at Home Depot or other retailers.

By all means feel free to back that up with facts. Or are we just talking about the current holiday season that has traditionally been hundreds of thousands of part time jobs? Just admit that you can't stand that the ACA has worked, continues to work and will work for many years to come. Is it perfect? No, and it needs tweaks, but until you offer a solution I'll never support repeal.
