If we are not able to get rid of automatic weapons and seriously treat the mentally ill then I suggest we lock up our schools. We have to have solutions not memes and name calling. If we can not agree that something has to be done to protect our children then something is wrong with ALL of us. My position is that something has to be done and if we have to do it with Republicans and their automatic weapons then lets do it. I have the desire as much as anyone to say shame on anyone for supporting automatic weapons for sale to the public but that is not going to get anything done. Democrats will have to find another way. It's sad. It's wrong. But we have to get all the moral high ground words out of our system and then get to work and do something...

Our political system is not working because of human emotion. We the people are so sharply divided we react with emotion not reason. Anger and hatred are showing up on both sides and there is a very slim middle if any at all. Joe Biden might be the very last Moderate Politician this country elects for President in our life time. If we continue this path I predict that extremism will be the new normal in politics if not already there. Moderate Democrats and Moderate Republicans will be ridiculed and labeled within their own parties as traitors. This is real. This is happening. I think our Media Industry has contributed significantly to manipulate our emotions against each other. Fox News is being exposed as I type but people want to believe what they want to believe.

I am not sure how we got here so quickly. One corrupt man is not the entire reason. Corruption occurs when people allow it. People allow corruption when it benefits them. The Republican Party along with Fox News figured this out long ago. The Democratic Party and their desire for instant progressive change made it easy for them. I think when we "demand" too much too fast from people they will react against change. I do not blame the Democratic Party but I think it was bad timing because religion was on the decline and many rural communities have shriveled up from businesses and skilled workers moving to larger cities. A very large population feel victimized and Democrats got caught up in the moment and neglected these rural communities.

I do not believe this will end well for the Democratic Party. Many people including many in my own family really believe that trump is being persecuted just like Jesus. How can people believe this? I do not know but I do know that the Democratic Party is under attack by Conservatives and the Republican Party is under attack by liberal progressives AND there is NO MIDDLE ground. I wish I were wrong but I hear the anger and hatred in our words communicated to each other regarding politics. I believe that this can only get worse unless we are able to forgive each other for all the words we have used to call out the other side. My hope is in our children. We need to protect our children. We need to make them safe. We have to put our moral high ground second to protecting our children. We have to do this now...
